Bench ends

This church, visited today Feb 20th 2015 on a dull day, really has nothing special to commend it.

Internally it is a pleasant enough church, with a Victorian chancel roof decorated with angels and some pews with interesting bench ends.

Upper room

It, fairly uniquely, has an upper room  accessed by stairs immediately to the right as the church is entered.

We found the church unlocked.

Overall though the church is dark inside.

The pub across the road from the church was not running and has a sign up saying "for rent".  For food we strongly recommend The Merry Monk in nearby Isleham. This really is special although prices are reasonable and they do a nice lunchtime menu.

Also locally, is the White Pheasant which is a AA 2 rosette rated restaurant in Fordham.
