Little Saxham Church

Little Saxham church
We visited on Saturday Jan 24th 2015. It was a bright sunny day.  Little Saxham is a delightful little church with a round flint tower.  The base of the tower is Saxon and the belfry Norman.

It is located a few miles south of the A14. Parking was tricky as the church is right on a road junction: we parked down a side road.

Why round towers? Apparently stones for corners were expensive so round towers avoided corners!
